Welcome From the Vice President
The Vice President for Finance & Administration provides the business services
essential to operation of Mississippi State University and works to
maintain an environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors that is
conducive to living, learning and working in comfort and safety.
Staff members administer the University's payrolls and employee benefits;
coordinate the purchase of equipment and supplies; maintain campus
buildings, grounds, and utilities; University Relations; and perform a thousand other often behind-the-scenes tasks that
enable MSU to focus on its missions of teaching, research, and outreach.
The office helps meet the needs of about 16,000 students and more than
4,000 employees who occupy the equivalent of a small city, with more than
300 major buildings encompassing more than 6 million square feet, 14 miles
of streets and 20 miles of primary electrical lines, and more than 13,000
parking spaces, all spread over thousands of acres.
Our staff is dedicated to helping the university operate efficiently and
effectively in a setting that offers the best possible quality of life.

available to you as a student, faculty member, or visitor, or to do
business with the university.
